Are we nearly there yet?

I know I'm not the worlds most patient person, but purl-eeeese! So many things look like they are almost ready, I can't wait!

The spuds look very bushy and green, but no flowers. There's a few pea pods but they're still all flat. I suddenly realise I have NO IDEA when I should pick the broad beans but they still look a bit weeny to me. Good looking but very green strawberries.

HURRY UP EVERYTHING!! I want to taste my allotment food!

when are you supposed to pick your potatoes? Last christmas I buried some and they've sprouted but I know not a thing about gardening. When are you going to pick yours?

Well, I believe we have to wait for them to flower but thinking about it I don't know if we then have to wait til they've finished flowering. bugger. I'll look it up.

Right. Much quicker that looking it up in a book: The Grapevine (see link to right)

suggests that flowering is not best thing to watch for as they don't always flower. Have a read, it's quite informative. I think I'm just going to have a poke around next time I'm down just so see/feel what's there
